Frances Wiede Reesing March 19, 1920 July 1, 2010 Frances Wiede Reesing, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2010, in Waco, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., July 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Woodway, Texas, with burial to follow at Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, July 5, at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Funeral Home on Bosque Blvd. in Waco. She was born on March 19, 1920, in Clifton, Texas, to Henry and Emma Wiede. Frances was baptized on April 18, 1920, and confirmed on April 9, 1933, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clifton. Frances married her beloved husband, Walter, in 1944 and made Waco their home since 1954. She retired from Sears in 1985 after over 25 years of retail sales. She was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waco, serving as a member of the Women's Guild, Lydia Circle, Altar Guild, Bereavement Committee, Board of Fellowship and the Lutheran Braille Workers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter T. Reesing; her sons, Michael and Dennis; 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include her son, Stephen and his wife, Debi, of Austin; daughter-in-law, Vicki, of Waco; grandchildren, Nikki Skeen and husband, Billy, of Waco, Kyle Reesing of New York City, Todd Reesing and Megan Reesing of Austin; step-grandchildren, Katrina Johnson and husband, Aaron, of Fort Worth, and Cheryl Cook of Waco; great-grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Skeen; and step great-grandchild, Clara Johnson; sisters-in-law, Elenore Wiede and Eunice Cooksey of Clifton. Pallbearers will be godsons, David Golden, Allen Aars, William Stewart and Brad Berger, and grandsons, Kyle Reesing and Todd Reesing. Honorary pallbearers are O.E. Blythe of Waco and Bill Becker of Garland. The family would like to give a special thank you to granddaughter, Nikki Skeen and her husband, Billy; nieces, Janice Berger, Donna Hampe and Joyce Powell; and Hillcrest Home Care & Community Hospice for their loving care and support during her time of need. Memorials may be made in her memory to Trinity Lutheran Church at Badger Ranch, 2 Ritchie Rd, Woodway, 76712.
