FRANCIS KIENITZ Francis Ward Kienitz, age 77, of Waco, died Saturday, December 7, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Price officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, December 9 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Francis was born May 9, 1925 in Ralls, Texas to Tillman C. and Iva Bullock Ward. She graduated from Mart High School and worked for several years in the Medical Records Office of Hillcrest Baptist Hospital. On July 10, 1947, she married Wilbern T. Kienitz. Together they established Crankshaft and Valve Service in 1952. Francis was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Her husband preceded her in death on May 17, 2001. Survivors include daughter, Kathy Kienitz Wardlaw and husband Bill of Waco; son, Tillman Kienitz and wife Donna of Waco; sisters, Virginia Hooper of Denton and T. Carol Barrett Sedberry of McKinney; grandchildren, Andy Kienitz, Sarina Moore, Cody Wardlaw, Chris Wardlaw and Candice Kienitz; great grandchildren, Dylan Moore and Ryan Moore; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Andy Kienitz, Cody Wardlaw, Chris Wardlaw, Roby Barrett, Garnet Vardeman and Tim Cole. Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, Providence Hospice, or St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank all of the doctors who cared for Francis and send a very special “thank you” to Angie, Anna, Linda, Mary, Stella, Tabby, Vickie and Rosalinda for all the loving care they gave.
