Francisco N. Frank Mata

MATA, FRANCISCO N. FRANK Francisco N. Frank Mata, age 71, of Waco died Sunday, December 15, 2002 at a local hospital. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, December 18 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Sergio Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7pm Tuesday, December 17 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave. Frank was born November 30, 1931 in Asa, Texas to Natividad and Felicita Mata. He moved to Waco in the early 50’s and worked for the city for a short time before opening his own business. He was owner and operator of Frank’s Sand and Gravel Company. Frank was married to Eloisa Dianda Mata, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Francisca M. Sias, Maria V. Mata, and Sara V. Mata. Frank was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Survivors include daughter, Dolores Requena and husband, Domingo; sons, Steve Mata and George Rivera and his wife, Sharon all of Waco; grandchildren, Theresa Patena and husband, Richardo, Gabriel A. Requena, Lois N. Rivera, and Jesus N. Rivera; great grandchildren, Olivya Zavala and Leesa Zavala; and sister, Refugia V. Mata of Waco.
