Frank Gilbert Letzler October 15, 1919 - May 1, 2009 Frank Gilbert Letzler of Waco passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at Houston County Nursing Home. Services will be at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel Monday, May 4th at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Kenny Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, in Blooming Grove, TX. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Frank was born October 15, 1919 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Gilbert and Lena Letzler. Frank entered military service in 1943 and was discharged in 1946, as a First Lieutenant in the Army Services Forces. During his service, he was awarded the Legion of Merit medal for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. He married Geraldean Holditch in 1946 in Bridgetown, Ohio. He and "Gerry" moved to Waco in 1949. He founded "The Meat House" in 1962 in Lacy Lakeview. To this day, the business continues to flourish and serves many families in Central Texas. He enjoyed serving his community and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his Father, Gilbert Letzler, Mother, Lena Letzler, wife, Geraldean Letzler. He is survived by daughters and sons-in law, Kathy and Kenny Bush of Grapeland, Mary and Dave Stanley of Hewitt, and Jane and James Sawyer of Corinth; grandchildren, Frank Alan Bush, Nita Mayo, Sandra Long, Ben Sawyer and Tammy Comer; nine great grandchildren; sister, Jean McClain; sister-in-law, Theresa Allen; nieces, Terry Witter and Pam Seger; nephew, Greg Holditch; and great nieces and nephews, Andrew and David Witter and Jenna and Garrett Seger.
