Franklin George White May 5, 1942 - April 23, 2013 Franklin George White of Hewitt passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Rosary will be 2:00 p.m., with a Chapel Service at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Father Will Straten officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Franklin was born May 5, 1942, in Waco, Texas, to Ruben and Rosilee White. Frank joined the United States Army in October 1959. His major tours of duty included South Korea, Ft. Belvoir, VA and West Germany. He was honorably discharged as an SGT E-5 in October 1965. He was united in marriage to EmilieSissyZettler on August 10, 1968. He received his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Science from James Connally Technical Institute of Texas A&M University in 1969 and went on to teach computer programming at TSTC. He then went on to receive his Bachelor of Science Degree from American Technological University in 1976. He worked in the oil field drilling equipment field in the 1980s in Texas, South Carolina and Canada. When the oil field industry slowed down, he went to work for Time Manufacturing in engineering and numerical control for 18 years. Frank was a member of RVOS Lodge #109 and a lifetime member of the 1st Calvary Division Association. PawPaw loved to fish and camp. He spent many days at the lake and at the beach in Port Aransas doing just that until his stroke in 2001 left him paralyzed. He also loved to attend his grandson Blake's sporting events, and to spend time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rosemary White; brother, Matthew White; and in-laws, Otto and Agnes Zettler. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, EmilieSissyWhite of Hewitt; daughter, Sherry White and fianc, Brad Whitley, of Waco; special grandson, Blake West of Waco, and grandchildren, Sydney, and Kristopher West; sister, Martha White; brother, Louis White; brother-in-law, Edward Zettler; uncle, C. P. White and wife, Mary, of Natchitoches, LA; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Blake West, Richard Zettler, C.P. White, Ernest Dvorak, Dr. Ricky Edison and Dr. David Edison.
