FREDDY G. BOEHME Freddy G. Boehme, age 62, of Waco, died Sunday, December 22, 2002 at a local hospital. Military graveside services will be held at 11am, Thursday, December 26 at Waco Memorial North with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating and Stan Latham delivering the eulogy. Visitation with the family will be from 3-5pm Wednesday, December 25 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Boehme was born April 13, 1940 in Waco to Willie Charles Bill and Nancy Ruth Haley Boehme. He attended Brook Ave. Elementary, West Junior High and Waco High. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Okinawa, Korea and Vietnam. He married Ava C. Bekkelund May 27, 1976. He owned and operated Fred Boehme Lawn Care for the past 16 years. He was previously employed at Carter’s Nursery and Fleetwood Homes-Broadmore Division. Mr. Boehme was an associate member of First Lutheran Church in Waco and a member of Waco Pond Society. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Glen F. and Lorena Haley. Fred loved fishing, camping and nature. He spent many hours enjoying his newly built Koi pond with his numerous prized Koi goldfish. His black Lab, Shadow, and two cats, Scamper and Sheba, will miss him greatly. He was a strong, generous, kind and caring friend to many people. There were no favors that he would not do in order to help other people. He will be missed by his friends and colleagues. He was a big part of his youngest son, Casey’s, education and welfare and held a special place in Casey’s heart as a loving and understanding father. Survivors include his wife, Ava C. Boehme of Waco; daughters, Lisa Marie Boehme of Connecticut and Pamela Sue Claypool of Dayton; sons, Daryll Glen Boehme and wife, Mildred of McGregor, Michael Boehme of San Antonio, and Casey Ryan Boehme of Waco; grandchildren, Kristy Lynn, Joshua Glen, Jennifer Gayle and Jessica Ann Boehme, Cassandra Sue Wilson, Crystal Marie and Marc Edward Bean; sisters, Nannette L. Wymer of Houston, Merri K. Zilka and husband, Ben of Waco, and Dana Leigh Johnson and husband, Greg of Round Rock; numerous nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edna and Erwin Bekkeland of Waco.
