Frederick Weatherford Stolte, Jr. July 11, 1937 - May 2, 2010 Fred Stolte of Waco passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010, in Round Rock, Texas. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 5, at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. He was born July 11, 1937, to F. W. Cotton and Lou Stolte. He had just been moved from Waco to Park Valley Inn Health Center, Round Rock, to be near Sondra and the remaining family. He had been diagnosed with emphysema, and congestive heart failure; then pre-leukemia three weeks prior to his death. Fred graduated from Waco High School in 1957, having been a member of the Waco High Band. During his time in Waco, he was also a member of the Karem Shrine Band, playing percussion instruments and winning many honors. He was also a member of Boys Scouts of America, Waco Demolay, Masons and Karem Shrine. While driving for Merit Trucking a subsidiary of Walmart, he was known as Red Eagle, that being his Indian name and CB handle. Fred was pre-deceased by his wife, Amedlia Stolte, and his parents. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Sondra Barnett and her husband, James R. Bob Barnett, of Round Rock; three nieces and one nephew, plus five great nephews, one great niece and one great, great niece. He is also survived by Mrs. E. T. Amelia Hansen of Fort Worth, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Alleen Clark of Tucson, Arizona and Mrs. V. C. Margaret Stolte, formerly of Waco, now in Washington, D.C., and numerous cousins.
