Fritz Linnstaedter

LINNSTAEDTER, FRITZ Fritz Linnstaedter, 87 of Waco, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be at 11:30am Saturday, October 30 at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dan Brandt officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Friday, October 29 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Linnstaedter was born August 25, 1917 in Stockdale, Texas. He was married to Esta Bohmann, his wife of 65 years, on May 21, 1939. He was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church of Waco. He earned his bachelors degree from Southwest Texas State University in education. He was a teacher for WISD for 39 years. He was a teacher and coach at East Jr. and West Jr. High Schools, he also taught industrial arts at Waco High. He served in the Marine Corps in WWII. He was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy Linnstaedter and Zilman Linnstaedter. Survivors include wife, Esta Nora Bohmann Linnstaedter; daughter, LaNelle McNamara and husband, John B. III; son, Don Linnstaedter and wife, Jan all of Waco; grandson, Jeff Linnstaedter and wife, Dorie; great grandchildren, Grant and Jordyn Linnstaedter; sister, Bernadine Apple of Fredericksburg; brother-in-law, Elton Bohmann of Seguin; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Linnstaedter, Dale Youngblood, Harvey Hoffman, and Robert Bohmann. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
