MICHAEL, GABRIELLE On the evening of Tuesday, September 4, 2001 our angel, Gabrielle Elena Michael, age 30, of China Spring returned to heaven. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 3:00PM Friday, September 7th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1401 Washington Ave., Waco, TX 76701 with Rev. Angelo Bertini officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Gabrielle was born in Slidell, LA and raised in Waco, TX. She was a graduate of Waco High and an Alumnus of Baylor University, where she received a degree in education. Gabrielle’s passion was directed toward the education of God’s little children, as a positive influence on the youth of our nation. She taught a 4th grade class at Dove Elementary at Grapevine-Colleyville ISD in Dallas, before leaving to join her fiancée in San Antonio. Gabrielle’s first love was her family, with whom she built a unique and inseparable relationship. Gabrielle’s best friend and confidant was her mother, her idol and hero was her father, and her greatest concerns were for her adored “little” brother. Gabrielle spent her youth in and out of her father’s restaurant business, and would later become the anchor at the Brazos Queen II behind her father’s masterpieces. Gabi’s beauty, sweetness, charm and originality influenced all those that encountered her smile and zest for life. Gabi was most appreciative of those caring and compassionate friends and individuals who spent time by her side, who called and wrote, and who included her in all of their prayers during her five-year battle. If Gabrielle could have one wish come true, it would be that “everyone could win and be happy”.
