Garland DeLamar October 17, 1922 - March 22, 2009 Garland DeLamar of Waco passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Tuesday, March 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Garland was born October 17, 1922, in Waco, Texas, to Lewis and Lucille DeLamar. He retired from the V.A. Hospital as an Alcoholic Rehabilitation Counselor. Garland was a 32nd degree Mason and 60 year member of the Shrine Temple. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, and an active member of the American Legion and Amvets. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Lucille DeLamar; wife, Konitta Eileen DeLamar; and two brothers, Albert and Raymond DeLamar. He is survived by daughters, Debbie Holter and husband, Rich, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, and Becky McKee of Crawford, Texas; two granddaughters, Ramey and Jimmy Griffin of Crawford, and Delene and Chad McNeal of Lancaster, Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Logan and Dakoda McNeal of Lancaster, and Rikki Griffin of Crawford; and a very special friend, Lucille Schaffner. Pallbearers are Past Masters of Lodge #92. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the East Waco Greenwood Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 154115, Waco, 76715.
