Gary Lynn Curtis January 30, 1946 September 29, 2014 Gary Lynn Curtis passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch- Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Ballinger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Gary was born on January 30, 1946, in Ballinger, Texas, to Charlene and WE "Dub" Curtis. He graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary School in 1986 and has pastored several local churches. Gary enjoyed baseball, was an avid softball player in younger years, and loved to cheer on his favorite team, the Texas Rangers. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He also found joy in helping those who were less fortunate. He will be miss by many. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Dub Curtis. He is survived by his mother, Charlene Curtis; sons, Brian Lyndsey Curtis, of Waco, Justin Heather Curtis of Riesel, Tracy Pam Mahoney of College Station, TX and daughter, Misty Andy Guzman of NOLA; grandchildren, Casey, Seth, Caleb, Kaesyn, Emerson, Bryson, Kylee, Kambreye and Ellasyn; sister, Lana David Duggins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Givens, Paul Braly, Sam Tubbs and Dusty Bleimeyer. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Advocacy Center of Central Texas or the charity of your choice.
