On November 18, 1942, she married her loving husband, Peter Miller, and they shared 61 years of glorious marriage. In 1969, she moved with her family to Houston, Texas. She and Peter retired to Tucson, Arizona, in 1980 where they spent the next 16 years. In 1996, she and Peter returned to Texas, residing in Waco until Peter’s passing in 2004. Shortly thereafter, she moved to McGregor, where she spent her remaining years. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, a longtime member of the American Bowling Congress, a member of the Starlite Dance Club, and a volunteer for Tucson Special Olympics and LPGA events. Mrs. Miller was a remarkable woman, who cherished her family and friends and will be missed by many. Also preceding her in death were five sisters, Ona, Julie, Edie, Louise, and Euna; and her brothers, Woodrow and Onyx. Survivors include her sons, Gordon and wife, Brenda, of Spokane, Washington, and Paul and wife, Kelly, of McGregor; granddaughters, Stephanie Curtice and husband, Raymond, of Waco, and Lauren Blocker or McGregor; great grandsons, John Paul and Luke Curtice; and her remaining sister, Clara Peck of Paducah.
