George Burgess Lee May 17, 1927 - May 13, 2009 George Burgess Lee of Waco passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2009. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Brad St. Romain officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. George was born May 17, 1927 in Waco, Texas to Birges and Nellie Lee. He graduated from Waco High and attended both Texas A&M and Baylor. George was USMC veteran of both WWII and Korea. He worked for Braswell-Davis and retired from the McLennan County Appraisal District. George was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Waco and the George N. Denton Masonic Lodge #24. He was preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Toni Sacker Fitzgerald. He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Lee; Alisa N. Neff and husband, Darryl; and son, Brian Lee; sisters, Margaret Sacker and Mary Ann Lee and brother, Harry J. Lee. Pallbearers are Dr. Jake Angelo, Nicholas Botary, Darryl Neff, Ronnie Martin, Steve Adler and Jim Fini. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Lofton, Keith Fitzgerald and Ed Duckworth II.
