Tom Patrick December 17, 1931 - August 7, 2006 A memorial service celebrating Tom Patrick’s life will be held Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710. Rev. Bryan Thornburg will officiate. Tom Patrick wore many hats in this life. He was a loving husband, father, Papa, coach and friend. The Lord welcomed him home on August 7, 2006. Tom was born on December 17, 1931 in Savannah, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and George Patrick, and his brother Robert C. Patrick. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Jean Patrick, daughters and sons-in-laws, Gail and Bill Wilmoth of Mesquite, Texas and Laurin and Trace Magill of The Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren Krista and Kevin Halfmann, Ashley Steely, Patrick Steely, and Kourtney Magill; great-granddaughter, Jordan Steely; sisters Betty Cobb, Nancy Gibbs, and brother James E. Patrick. After a career in life insurance with Gulf Life in Jacksonville, Florida and American Amicable in Waco, Texas, Tom worked in various capacities with the Texas chapter of ASA. Life sent many challenges Tom's way, and he tackled each one with typical Patrick determination, humor, and faith. He taught us well lessons we will carry with us, gave us many moments of memories, he lived, loved and laughed large and we will all miss him.
