George Truett Briggs, Jr. July 15, 1930 - January 12, 2016 George Truett Briggs, Jr. of Waco passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016. His service will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Burial will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, at Dilley Cemetery, Dilley, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., on Monday, prior to the Garden Room service. George was born July 15, 1930, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to George Sr. and Eunice Briggs. He served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed his friendships with the staff and residents at Ridgecrest. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Briggs Haschke and husband, Harold, of San Antonio; niece, Jennifer Robinson and husband, Ron; great niece, Sydney; and great nephew, Truett.
