Georgia Marie Leary Weber passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on Thursday, February 13, 2020. Georgia was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 2, 1931. She graduated from the College of Wooster with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, worked at the University of Chicago, and married the love of her life, Al Weber, in 1958. The couple moved to a south suburb of Chicago, South Holland, to raise their two daughters. They lived happily on Gouwens Lane for over 40 years, until they moved to Texas in 2004 to be close to family. Georgia will be tenderly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Allen Weber, and their daughters, Kathy (John) Yaccino and Lynn (David) Hayner. Georgia was also blessed with 4 grandchildren: Laura (Robert) Mullens, Michelle (Adam) Drake, Kevin Yaccino, and Sarah Yaccino, along with 3 great-grandchildren: Avery, Bryan, and Logan Mullens. She is also survived by her younger sister, Nancy (Ralph) Schuetz, and many fond cousins, nieces and nephews. Georgia was predeceased by her older sister Doris (Rodney) Lowell. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 23, at 3:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco.
