Georgia Opal Tusa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Baptist Village. Graveside services will be Saturday, December 1, 11:00 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, November 30, 6-8 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Georgia was born in Ben Hur, Texas, on March 21, 1915, and was married to Vince Charlie Tusa on January 22, 1938 for 37 years. They worked together in a grocery store, Tusa’s Grocery, they bought in 1943 for 30 years. Prior to working in the grocery business, she was a nurse in the nursery of Hillcrest Hospital. Georgia is survived by her daughter, Fran and husband, Mike, of Oklahoma City; one grandson, Sean, and wife, Jennifer, of Edmond; and a great-granddaughter, Addyson Miller of Phoenix. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and Western Heights Baptist Church, both in Waco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
