OBITUARY FOR JERRY EARL PRITCHARD Jerry Earl Pritchard, 50, of Waco, passed away Friday, November 15, 2002. Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 21, 2002 at the Methodist Children's Home, 1111 Herring Ave., with Dr. Jack Daniels officiating, assisted by Chaplain Travis Franklin. Mr. Pritchard was born on April 30, 1952 in Pueblo, Colorado. He completed his education in Colorado Springs. He served in the Air Force for four years as a jet engine mechanic. The last 20 years he has been working as a teaching home parent with at risk youth. He and his wife started at Father Flanagans Boy's Home in Nebraska for three years, 7 1/2 years with Houston Achievement Place in Texas, and the last ten years have been with the Methodist Children's Home & Boy's Ranch in Waco. He had a passion for the ranch work and was dedicated to the responsibilities on the ranch and with the boys. He enjoyed all of the youth and wanted to impact each of their lives. He valued his friendships made with his co-workers. He supported the staff and program. He enjoyed leather making projects and helping others out. He leaves behind his wife, Laura;, of 32 years, a son Kenny, and a son Rich, daughter-in-law, Julie, and the joy of his life, his three year old grandson, Jacob.. Also, his mother, Margaret, brothers, Marvin, Dean and Glenn, and sister, Marlene. Jerry was a devoted husband and father. He stated he had no regrets and knew where his new home would take him. He expressed peace and comfort in knowing his broken body would soon be healed and made brand new. Memorials made be made to Scott & White Hospice or the Leukemia Founda- tion.
