Gerald Fain Johnson August 29, 1929 - April 4, 2009 Gerald Fain Johnson of Waco passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 11, at Central Christian Church. Fain was born August 29, 1929, in Commerce, Texas, to Samuel Pierce and Dorothy Love Johnson. He moved to Waco in 1949 and was co-founder/owner of Oriental Rug Company. Fain enjoyed golfing, flying, and coaching little league baseball for his sons. He was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge and a member of Rotary. Fain served as a Deacon of Central Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife, Jean Johnson; two sons, Pierce Johnson of Spanish Fort, Alabama; Dean Johnson and wife, Beth, of Cullman, AL; four grandsons, Connor Johnson, a student at University of Alabama, Ryan Johnson, a student of LSU, Rhett Johnson of Spanish Fort, and Brennan Johnson of Cullman; stepson, Chris Lloyd and wife, Leigh, of Houston; and step-grandchildren, Claire and Ray Lloyd; and three god-children, Lisa Saxenian, Carol Saxenian and Paula Miller. Honorary Pallbearers are David Dial, Randy Essenburg, Tommy Jones, Trey Miller, John R. Wagner, Bill Buley, Bill Diess, Wallace Kabs, and Jim Young.
