Gilbert Schroeder November 9, 1926 - March 7, 2012 Gilbert Schroeder of Robinson passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Regent Care Center of San Marcos. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 12, at Waco Memorial Park with the Rev. Richard Rust officiating, followed by a memorial service at 1:30 p.m., at the First Evangelical Church on IH-35. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Gilbert was born November 9, 1926, in McGregor, Texas, to Henry and Selma Schroeder. He retired from General Tire after 38 years. Gilbert attended the First Evangelical Church in Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darrell Glenn; and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bernice of Robinson; his daughter, Cynthia Alexander and husband, Jim, of Dale, TX; son, Kenneth Schroeder and wife, Anne, of Virginia; grandchildren, Melanie Diaz, Kristin Alexander and Glenn Schroeder; one great granddaughter, Maggie Diaz; and two sisters, Earline Sanders and Willie Mae Allen.
