MC FADDEN, GLADYS Gladys Orah Melton McFadden, age 83, passed away on May 16, 2001. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19th at Waco Memorial Park with her nephew, Rev. Steve Melton of Leander, Texas officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-7:30 PM Friday, May 18th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Friends are cordially invited to attend. One of six children, she was born on May 29, 1917 in Waco, Texas. Mrs. McFadden graduated from Baylor University. She retired from teaching in the Waco public schools after many years of service. An accomplished china painter, she is remembered for many beautiful treasures created for friends and family, plus the wonderful creations sold in stores around the nation. In 1987, she moved to El Paso. She was an active member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco and then became an active member in First Baptist Church, El Paso, Texas. Ralph Cecil McFadden her husband, preceded her in death in 1988. Survivors include: Daughter: Margaret Sue Wilson and husband, Don of El Paso Son: Walter Melton McFadden and wife, Betty of New Braunfels Numerous nephews and nieces WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
