Gladys Tatum, 103, of Waco, died Thursday September 20, 2001 at a local hospital. A private graveside will be held for the family. A Memorial Service will be 11AM Saturday September 22, at Park Lake Drive Baptist Church with Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Wilkirson – Hatch – Bailey, 1124 Washington Mrs. Tatum was born February 8, 1898 in Franklin Texas. She moved to Waco as a young girl and has lived here ever since. She married Tom Tatum on December 20, 1917, he precede her in death November 1984. She was also preceded in death by her son Mack Tatum in 1929. Mrs. Tatum was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church; during her life she was also a member of North Waco and Parkview Baptist Churches. SURVIVORS: Son: Don Tatum and wife Susie of Waco Daughter: Ardis Bouma and husband John of Waco 7 Beloved Grandchildren: Jim Bob Tatum and wife Kim of Plano Richard Tatum and wife Rebecca of Waco Laura Tatum of Garland Jennifer Scully and husband Brian of Columbia S.C. Jon Vlad Bouma of Waco Catherine Bouma of Brooklyn Park MN Valorie Bouma Patterson and husband Ted of Brooklyn Park MN 8 Great Grandchildren She became a Christian at 13 years of age, while attending 7th and James Baptist Church where Rev. W.W. Melton was pastor. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 91, which attest to her faith that God would protect her all of her life.
