VAN CLEAVE, GLENDA VAHUE Glenda Vahue Van Cleave, age 59, of Lorena passed away Thursday, December 04, 2003. A memorial service will be held at 3:30pm Saturday, December 6 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with Rev. David Story officiating. Ms. Van Cleave was born October 8, 1944 in Gardiner, Maine to Glendon Carlyle and Laurelle Priest Vahue. She was a graduate of Midway High School. She retired from the Texas Department of Human Services in 2000. She loved to ski, traveling to Shreveport, Louisiana, collecting “Tweety Bird” memorabilia, Koala Bears and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father, Glendon and baby sister, Rochelle. Survivors include daughter, Brenda Bartula and husband, Brent of Waco; mother, Laurelle Vahue of Waco; sisters, Valerie Colson and husband, Lloyd of Lorena and Lisa Tipton of Leander; brother, Lary Vahue and wife, Linda of Temple; grandchildren, Derek and Whitni and step grandchildren, Taylor and Cordale; beloved cousin, Lori Skelton of Maine; several nieces and nephews; and stepmother, Amy June Vahue and stepsister, Sharon Sloat.
