Glenn Porter, age 79, of Waco, died Friday, June 11, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be held Tuesday, June 15 at 11:30 am at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Terry Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be Monday, June 14, 2004 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Glenn Porter was born February 28, 1925 in Waco. He attended Waco Schools and married Ruby Faye Schrader January 18, 1946 in Waco. She preceded him in death December 9, 2003. Glenn was a supervisor at William Cameron Company for 42 years. He was also a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. His passion was woodworking and restoring old cars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by son, Rick Porter and wife Karen of Woodway; grandchildren, Chris and Katie Porter; sister, Bettie Drewyer and husband Carroll of Waco and many beloved family members.
