Gloria Ann Place January 31, 1939 – February 4, 2006 Gloria Ann Place passed away Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2006 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel with Bro. Jason Bay officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North Cemetery . Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2006 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Gloria was born January 31, 1939 in Waco, McLennan County, TX to Walter Selby Haigood and Myrtis Marie Haigood. She was an employee of the Dwyer Group of Waco for the past 20 years. Gloria has been a lifelong Baptist. She was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Waco. She is survived by her husband Fulton T. Place of Spring , TX; mother, Myrtis Marie Haigood of Waco, TX; daughter, Vivian Renee Marshall of Houston, TX; sons, Keith D., Stephen D., and John Thomas Place of Houston, TX; and granddaughter, Kiara E. Place of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her father Walter Selby Haigood and grandson Jason R. Marshall. She was truly loved and will be missed, but never forgotten. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Association or to Timber Crest Baptist Church.
