She was a life-long Waco resident, attending local schools and growing up with 9 other siblings, including 7 brothers and 2 sisters. “YaYa” as she was affectionately known by her grandchildren, loved to spend time with her family and friends. She spent as much time as she could with her grandchildren; they often picked up pecans from her front yard to use for baking, made home made cookies and tortillas and went shopping at C&A Bargains. She loved going to the dances, shopping, adding angels to her collection, and cooking. She was famous for her “Christmas Cookies” that she made every year during the holidays to give to her family and friends. She was always putting others’ needs before her own, never turning down a favor that was asked of her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Mary Campos, Sr., sister Dora Jones and brother, Everett Campos. She is survived by daughters, Tina Villareal and husband, James, of San Antonio, Tricia Duplantier and husband, Jim of Waco and son, Jimmy Viera, of Waco. She is also survived by brothers, Joe Campos and wife, Delia, David Campos, Alfred Campos, Pete Campos, Jr. and wife, Mary, Bernie Campos and wife, Louise, Bobby Campos and wife, Cindy and sister, Faye McConnell, all of Waco and by her beloved grandchildren, Grant, Tille and Derek Villareal of San Antonio and Candace Daniels and Ryan Duplantier of Waco, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her greatly. Pallbearers will be nephews Robert McConnell, Bob O’Beirne, George Campos, Mario Campos, Julius Monrial and grandson Grant Villareal. The family would like to especially thank the Waco Fire and Police Department and all of those who have been there for support during our loss.
