Gloria Guynes Warner September 26, 1925 - October 4, 2014 Gloria Guynes Warner of Waco passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Gloria was born September 26, 1925, in Brownwood, Texas, to Luther and Ila Ruth Guynes. Her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ gave her strength throughout her life. She was very active in a variety of organizations, including Waco Women's Shelter, former president of the Waco Newcomers and a number of local bridge groups. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Thomas Payton Warner. She is survived by two sons, Steve Barber and wife, Marolyn, of McGregor, Texas, and Kyle Barber and wife, Roxanne, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one daughter, Laura Johnson and husband, Patrick, of Fort Worth; one step-daughter, Ann Elizabeth Warner and husband, Steve, of Kansas City, Kansas; one stepson, Bill Warner and wife, Anne, of Pebble Beach, California; one sister, Jayne Hicks of Waco; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Lonnie and Renee Idom and Margaret and Lupe Flores.
