STRUNCK, GOLDIE A. Goldie A. Strunck, age 84, of Mart died Sunday, January 18, 2004 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, January 21 at First Baptist Church of Mart with Rev. Ron Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, January 20 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mrs. Strunck was born January 3, 1920 in Hallsburg, Texas to John Henry and Winnie Marian Harwell. She was a graduate of Riesel High School. She married L. C. “Cleet” Strunck October 8, 1938; he preceded her in death September 8, 1994. A woman always on the go, she still loved to cook for all her family. She was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Mart. She was preceded in death by daughter, Betty Sue “Susie” Curlee, grandson, Robert Clayton Sharp, and sister, Evelyn Sawyers. Survivors include daughters, Doris Lynn Schuette and husband, Wilburn of Crawford and Debbie Leann Sharp and husband, Ricky of Mart; son, Aubrey Clayton Strunck and wife, Janet of Mart; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Beavers of Elm Mott, Betty Dorris of Bellmead, and Sue Brown and husband, Ferman of Waco; brothers, Johnny Harwell and wife, Nita of Elm Mott and Homer Harwell of Bellmead; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brandon Sharp, Justin Sharp, Cody Schroeder, Landon Lippe, Lyndal Strunck and Dillon Strunck. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Mart.
