Gordon Rountree

GORDON ROUNTREE SR. Millard Gordon Rountree Sr. passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2002. Following a family graveside burial at Oakwood Cemetery, a memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 11:00am, Saturday, November 30. Mr. Rountree is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Combest Rountree, sister, Mrs. George Felder of Houston, and three children; Millard Gordon Rountree, Jr. and wife Jo, Nannette Rountree Wheelis and husband David, and Collette Rountree Karr and husband Richard. Mr. Rountree is also survived by his grandchildren; Gordon Scott Rountree and wife Sharon, Ross Albert Rountree and wife Jennifer, Travis Lee Neumann, Trent Alan Neumann, Christi Lee Wheelis, Michelle Marie Wheelis, Mary Frances Karr, Angela Collette Karr, Rachael Rountree Karr and great-granddaughter Olivia Leigh Rountree. Pallbearers will be his four grandsons and Gordon Elliott Rountree and Boyce Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carl M. Barrett, Cavitt Caufield, Lacy Clifton, John B. Fisher Jr., Dr. Tom L. Husbands, Malcolm Louden, Harry Trippet and Joe L Ward Jr. The family will receive at home. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to the charity of your choice. WILKIRSON HATCH BAILEY
