Grady Baskin March 15, 1921 October 7, 2008 Grady Baskin went home on Tuesday, October 7, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 15 at Crawford Cemetery. He was a tough Texan, born in Pulaska, Texas, during the Great Depression, to Vera and George Baskin. He flew the "hump" in WWII, was a Baptist pastor for twenty years in South Texas and Michigan, then went to work and was head of the telemarketing department of Word, Inc. He kept his humor until the bitter end, because, as he recently said, "If you lose your sense of humor, you've lost everything." He was predeceased by wife, Pat; sister, Nona; son, Grady; and parents, George and Vera. He is survived by sons, Bill and Barry, and a daughter, Sheryl Mauro, along with stepsons, David and Scott Littlewood; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
