Gregory Dayle Gillenwater May 12, 1950 - September 30, 2008 Gregory Gillenwater of Hewitt passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 3, at Woodway First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jeffrey Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Greg was born May 12, 1950 in Rushville, Illinois to Dayle and Mary Gillenwater. He graduated from Richfield High School and received his BA from Baylor University in Political Science. He served and retired from the Texas Army National Guard after 20+ years. Greg was a Past Master of Fidelis Masonic Lodge #1127, a member of Commandery #10 Knights Templar of Texas, and the Scottish Rite. He was a member of Woodway First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilly. He is survived by his wife, Margie Gillenwater; his four children, Christopher and wife, Cindy; Chelsie, Cory and Colton; mother, Mary Gillenwater; sister, Patricia Vaughn; nephews, Rusty Vaughn, Scott Vaughn and wife, Jenny.
