Grover Edward Fore

Grover Fore July 15, 1929 – September 11, 2006 Grover Edward Fore, 77, of Waco passed away Monday, Sept. 11, 2006 at Westview Manor Nursing Home. Services will be at 11:30 am Thursday, September 14 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with Rev. Jim Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation will be at 6-8 pm Wednesday, September 13 at the funeral home. Grover was born July 15, 1929 in Appomattox, Virginia. He was the fifth child born to Grover Cleveland and Margaret Pippin Fore. Grover attended school in Lynchburg, Va. until he joined the United States Air Force in 1948 where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. Grover was given an honorary discharge in 1952 while stationed in Waco, Tx. with the Flying Training Air Force. While stationed in Waco, he met and married Mary Florence Blackburn and they had six children together. He owned and operated a service station on the corner of Lake Air and Sanger for many years where he made many friends and memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, J.C. Fore and a sister, Elizabeth Lipscomb-Stinnett, and by an infant daughter, Mary Margaret Fore in April 1969. He is survived by his five children, Greg Fore and wife, Cindy of McGregor, Danny Fore and wife, Hazel of Lorena, Cyndi Mocek and husband, Don of Arlington, John Fore of Austin and Luther Fore and wife, Karla of Lorena; sisters, Mamie Butler and Verba Bunn, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is also survived by seven granddaughters, two great granddaughters and two step grandsons.
