H. Allan Kay August 27, 1928 - July 12, 2012 Harry Allan Kay, 83, of Waco passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon, Missouri, with the Rev. Tony English officiating. Burial will follow at Eldon Cemetery. Allan was born August 27, 1928, in Eldon, to Harry and Pauline Higby Kay. He worked for an Eldon dairy company and later at the First Baptist Church in Eldon, where he also served as an usher and greeter for many years. He enjoyed his bowling league team and attending Eldon High School athletic events. Allan was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. He moved to Waco in 2006 and resided at St. Elizabeth Assisted Living Center. Allan made many friends everywhere he lived and will always be remembered for his ready smile. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his step-mother, Ruth Kay. He is survived by his sister, Jean Weathers and her husband, Buell, of Waco; his brother, Richard Kay and wife, Gerry, of Fresno, California; a niece and three nephews, and their families. The family wishes to express appreciation for the fine care he received from the staff at St. Elizabeth and from Uni Murphy at Lake Ridge Healthy Living.
