Hallet “Tom” Allen passed away Friday, July 9, 2021. Services will be 10:00 am, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Tom was born October 29, 1942, in Harrisburg, PA, to Carlton and Betty Allen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. He was a graduate of Sam Houston State University. He retired from the Veterans Administration office. He loved his family, traveling, and sports, especially the Lady Bears Basketball team. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife, Ruth B. Allen; daughter, Rebecca Jacobs and husband, Michael; daughter, Gayle Coward and husband, Larry; son, Sonny Bowers and wife, Shelley; brother, David Allen and wife, Dian. Four grandsons, and seven great grandchildren, with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers are Greg Nodine, Mike Nodine, Clint Bowers, Wes Bowers, Anthony Duty, Darryl Forney, and Glenn Hoffenbe. Honorary Pallbearer is Harvey Phillipi.
