Harold Leon Wilson, 77, of Hewitt, died September 17, 2005 at a hospital in Temple. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, at Crestview Church of Christ with Scott Talley and Jim Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 19, in the Garden Room at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Harold was born February 7, 1928 in Hamilton, Texas. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1944 and from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in 1949. He married Shelba Jean Erwin in 1957. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on June 30, 2005. Harold retired from Texas Farm Bureau after a 28-year career. He served as a deacon at various Churches of Christ and faithfully worshipped and served his Lord at Crestview Church of Christ in Woodway. Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Shelba; sons, Dr. Gary Wilson and wife, Cheryl, of York, Nebraska and their children, Amy and Scott, and Todd Wilson and wife, Regina, of Austin, and their children Rusty and Race; brother, Albert Wilson and wife, Gayle, of Killeen; and sister, LaVonna Jones of Texas City; and many nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorials can be given to Chamber Singers of York College, 1125 East 8th Street, York, Nebraska, 68467.
