Harold Raymond Larson July 16, 1928 - October 13, 2009 Harold Raymond Swede Larson of Waco passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 19, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Ken Moerbe officiating. He will be in state beginning Friday, Oct. 16 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Harold was born July 16, 1928, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Hjalman and Nellie Larson. He worked as a federal parole and probation officer in San Antonio and Waco. Upon retirement in 1983, Harold was an avid historian and diligently worked on preserving the history of his family and the Waco State home, a children's home for dependant and neglected children. Harold was a member of Austin Avenue United Methodist Church in Waco, James H. Lockwood Lodge #1343, and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Moray Larson. He is survived by his loving sister, Anna Louise Reed of Broomfield, Colorado; many loving nephews and nieces; and his cherished friends.
