Harry Jamison King, Jr.

July 17, 1909 — July 18, 2001

KING, HARRY Harry J. King, age 92, of Waco died Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at his residence. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 21st at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Friday, July 20th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. King was born July 17, 1909 in Nashville, TN to Harry J., Sr. and Della Smith King. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, class of 1930. He married Mildred Owensby in 1936; she preceded him in death July 20, 1995. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII 1943-45. He worked for Commercial Credit for 43 years. He was a square dance caller from 1947-1952 in Big Spring, TX. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was president of his Sunday school class and a song leader. Survivors include: Daughter: Kay Robinson of Dallas Grandchildren: Emily Strange and Charles Christopher Robinson Great grandchildren: Julia Strange and Patrick Strange Pallbearers will be Dave Hooten and Ed Politza. Memorials may be made to Trinity University, San Antonio, TX WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
