Harry Louis Jornitzky

Harry Louis Jornitzky April 23, 1913 – January 21, 2006 Harry Louis Jornitzky, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2006. Graveside services will be held at Agudath Jacob Cemetery at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 24th . A native of Waco, Mr. Jornitzky was a graduate of Waco High School and attended Baylor University. He spent his career in the sales profession. He was a life-member of Congregation Agudath Jacob and a life-member of the B’nai B’rith Organization. In 1999, he moved to Houston to be near his family. He was a concerned and caring person, quietly performing acts of kindness for many friends at Seven Acres Jewish Senior Care Services where he resided for six years. Mr. Jornitzky was preceded in death by his parents Raven and Esther Jornitzky of Waco and his brother and sister-in-law, Saul and Celia Gellman. He is survived by his sister Flora Lee Slatko, her husband Dr. Leon Slatko, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Seven Acres for their loving and compassionate care. They also thank his personal caregivers Doris and Cornelia for their assistance during the last few months.
