HAZEL E. CRAIN Hazel E. Crain, age 88 of Waco, passed away Friday, July 18, 2003 at her residence after a long illness. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 23 at Tynes Family Cemetery in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Mrs. Crain was born February 22, 1915 in Dekalb, Illinois to Virgil and Mable McGlashan. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, W. Ray Crain, who preceded her in death, and a cherished mother and grandmother to her devoted children and grandchildren. Forever constant in her love and support for her family and friends, Hazel was also a faithful member of the First Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Workers. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Gretchen and Vicki; five grandchildren, Gerry, Lisa, George, Carmen and Travis; seven great-grandchildren, Wesley, Ashley, Zachary, Cory, Kara, Alise and Ethan; and three brothers and sisters, Pat, Harriet and Robert. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston.
