JOHNSON, HAZEL HAZEL HITT JOHNSON, 92, of Waco, died Friday in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Monday, April 16, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, 1124 Washington Ave. Visitation will be 3-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Johnson was born July 12, 1908 in Plainview. She was reared and educated in McGregor and Waco, graduating from McGregor High School and she attended 4-C College in Waco. Mrs. John worked as a secretary for Exporters and Traders Wholesale Co. and was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Thomas Johnson on November 11, 1988. Survivors include her sister Janice Belcher of Waco , her brother Buford Hitt and his wife Barbara of Waco and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
