HELEN FRANCES BAIRRINGTON HOLMES, 84, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 in a San Antonio hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, April 2, 2001 at Western Heights Baptist Church, Chaplain Curtis Holland and Rev. Michael Patterson officiating.Burial will follow in Sardis Cemetery at Jewett. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Sunday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque. Mrs. Holmes was born October 14, 1916 in Hubbard. She was a resident of Waco for 65 years. She sang in the Baylor Senior Choir and was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church and Faith Class. She was a wonderful homemaker and a loving mother. Helen will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her friends and her faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Odis L. Holmes, her son Don L. Holmes, and her parents John and Ada Bairrington. Survivors include her children: Peggy and Joe Tollett of Tyler, Mickey and Sandy Holmes of Irving and Sharon and Jim Zartman of San Antonio;her sister Bobbie Moses of Luling; her sisters-in-law Lyndall Woodall of Mt. Calm, Fara Holmes of Waco and Hazel Dunlap of Colorado City; 8 grandchildren , 14 great grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Mike Tollett of Houston, Jim Tollett of Troup, Kyle Holmes of Allen, Aaron Holmes of Dallas, Gary Heaston and Chuck Brenneman of Colorado Springs, CO, Giles Bateman of Waco and David Deats of Allen. Memorials may be made to Faith Memorial Fund c/o Western Heights Baptist Church. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
