Helen Louise Clark September 11, 1921 – August 14. 2007 Helen Louise Clark, age 85, of Waco died Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 17 at Western Heights Baptist Church, with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Visitation will be held at 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Helen was born September 11, 1921 in Waco. While travels took her away from Waco she always returned to family and friends and her beloved home town. She worked as legal secretary for prominent Waco attorney Alton B. Clark, and married Alton in June of 1966. They shared a wonderful, loving life together until Alton’s death in 1996. Helen was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church for 33 years and taught the Women’s Adult Sunday School Class. She was very active in her support of Hamilton House and other charities in Waco. She is survived by son, Michael Palmer and his wife Sharon of Dallas; son, Jeff Palmer and his wife Connie; son, Paul Palmer and his wife, Jan, all of Waco; 4 grandchildren, John Collins of Ft. Worth; Scott Palmer and Katie Palmer, both of Dallas; and Jessica Palmer of Waco. Memorials may be made to Western Heights Baptist Church.
