Helen Musgrave

June 28, 1908 — July 13, 2001

HELEN MUSGRAVE, 93, of Lacy Lakeview, died Friday in a local hospital. Services will be at 2:30 PM Monday, July 16, 2001 in the Garden Room Chapel of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque, the Rev. James L. Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Helen, the oldest of 10 children, was born June 28, 1908 in Jo Daviess County, Illinois. She was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and a life member of the United Methodist Women’s Society. Helen had worked in the church nursery for more than 20 years. After her children were grown, she worked as a childcare provider for many area families. Her husband Paul, who died in 1971, preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters: Elva Wenzel of Waco and Mary H. Musgrave of DeSoto; her son Kenneth and his wife of Hewitt and one granddaughter Jamie Musgrave of Plano. She is also survived by her brothers Lyle Temperly of Apple River, Illinois and Jaes Harold Temperly of Farley, IA; her sisters Stella Birkbeck of Galena, Illinois and Gladys Barnett of Willows, CA. Pallbearers will be Don Hancock, Jason Hancock, Justin Edwards, Darren Hancock, Dub Cunningham and Kirby Pope. Honorary pallbearers will be Willard Hinkle, Oliver Simmons, Larry Carmody, Elmo Mimms, Ray Younger, and Josh Edwards. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lakeview United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 701 Ave C., Waco, TX 76705 or the a charity of your choice. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
