QUICK, HELEN RAY Helen Ray Quick, age 91, of Hurst died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at a Hurst nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 10am Tuesday, November 11 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Sidney Roberts officiating. Mrs. Quick was born January 9, 1912 in Crawford, Texas to Truman Ernest and Willie Dee Armstrong Roberts, members of pioneer Crawford families. Helen Ray grew up in Crawford and graduated from Crawford High School in 1930. She joined Crawford Methodist Church as a child. In 1936, she married Jack O. Quick; he preceded her in death June 28, 2003. She was a member of Pollard United Methodist Church in Tyler. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Armstrong Roberts, Truman E. Roberts and Jack Grimes Roberts. Survivors include sister, Margaret Allie Madge Roberts Fry of Hurst, niece, Robyn Roberts Bullard of Arlington, nephews, Joe Ray Fry of Florida, Tracy Ray Roberts of La Porte, Robert W. Roberts, and Randy Jack Roberts both of California, and cousins, Sidney Roberts of Hurst and Annie Mae Meadows Smith of Waco.
