Gerik, Henry Henry L.Harry Gerik, 83, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be at 1:30pm Saturday, June 11 at Waco Memorial Park North with the Rev. Patrick Ebner officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm, Friday, June 10 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey at 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Gerik was born May 12, 1922 in West, Texas and was the only son of Leo and Lena Cajkovsky Gerik. He married Christine Hynek on June 29, 1942 and lived most of his life in Waco. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. He worked as an agent for American National Insurance Company, then later worked in retail sales. He was a worker at the Heart of Texas Speedway for 40 years. He was a lifetime member of V. F. W. Post 4819 in West, Texas and he was a Catholic. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Sanders. He is survived by his wife, Christine Hynek Gerik; daughter, Valerie Moraw and husband Eugene of Lorena; grandchildren, Heather Moraw of Arlington and Eric Moraw of Lorena.
