Herman L. ''Mutt'' Wilson

WILSON, HERMAN L. “MUTT” Herman L. “Mutt” Wilson, age 85, of Waco died Sunday, April 21, 2002 in a local hospital. Services will be at 9:30AM Saturday, April 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Nathan Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Friday, April 26 at the funeral home. Mr. Wilson was born in Waco September 2, 1916. He attended Waco schools. He retired as a lieutenant in the service division of the Waco Police Department after 27 years. He married Nell Ledbetter January 1, 1941 and was married for 57 years. He attended Columbus Ave. Baptist Church. Survivors include sister, Anna Lois Kemble of Troup, brother, Layton Wilson of Waco, nieces, Joann Platt of Valencia, California, Betty Roda and Linda Richter both of Atlanta, Georgia. Pallbearers will be Commander Harold Steig, Sgt. Bob Robertson, Sgt. Stan Brown, Sgt. Gary Green, Officer Parks Baucom and Sgt. Hollie Holstein. Honorary Pallbearers are currently employed and retired Waco Police Officers as well as all his friends. WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
