Herminio Herman Deleon

HERMINIO DELEON Herminio Herman Martin DeLeon, 57, of Waco, died Thursday, April 10, 2003 at a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Rev. Sergio Lopez as celebrant. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd., followed by a prayer service. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. DeLeon grew up in Waco and attended LaVega schools. In his earlier years, he operated movie theatres, showing Spanish movies. He presently was a healthcare provider. Mr. DeLeon was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and also attended First Mexican Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Maria Socorro DeLeon; daughters, Elizabeth Scheifley and husband Steven, and Socorro Arias; sons, Tony Arias, Carlos Arias, and Jamie Arias; granddaughter, Lorena DeLeon; grandsons, William Arias and Carlos Arias Jr.; sisters, Josie Amaro and husband Johnny, Lucy Rivas and husband Arthur, and Margaret Pena and husband Tony; brothers, Gregory DeLeon and wife Virginia, and Mag DeLeon Sr.; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Roy Shirley, Alfonso Luna, Carlos Arias, Mag DeLeon Jr., Randy DeLeon and Michael DeLeon. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Boles, J.C. Mitchell and Bill Dunnam.
