Hilda Paar August 3, 1911 – July 3, 2006 Hilda Marie Paar went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 3, 2006. Services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, July 6 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2000 Clay, with Rev. James Price officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 5 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Mrs. Paar was born in Otto, Falls County, Texas August 3, 1911 to Fritz and Emilie Kunkel. She was united in holy matrimony to Paul W. Paar, Jr. October 23, 1929. She and her husband moved to the Waco area in 1960. She enjoyed gardening, camping and doing handwork, especially crocheting and quilting. Mrs. Paar was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband 1980 and a grandson, Dennis Paar 2003. She is survived by her sons, Edward Lee Ed Paar and wife, Dorothy of Woodway, Charles Paar and wife, Ellen of Robinson and Marvin Paar of Waco; daughter, Darlene Huddleston and husband, Norman of Waco; one sister, Martha Fenske of Mayfield, KY; grandchildren, Kenneth Paar and wife, Linda, Brenda Rhodes and husband, Jimmy, Debbie Galler and husband, Michael, Laurie Linder and husband, Michael, Sandy Cone and husband, Michael, Karen Nichols, Terri Snodgrass and husband, Jr., Carol Chatman and husband, Wayne, Paula Woodward and husband, Jimmy and Dalores Paar; 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Paar, Jimmy Rhodes, Michael Galler, Michael Linder, Michael Cone, Jr. Snodgrass, Wayne Chatman and Jimmy Woodward. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Lehrmann, Earl Lehrmann, Bo Hardi and Columbus Jackson. Memorials may be given in her memory to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hillcrest Hospice or one’s charity of choice.
