Hollie Wedemeyer Hahn Smith July 13, 1925 March 15, 2008 Hollie Wedemeyer Hahn Smith, born July 13, 1925, in Creek, TX Houston County passed away at her home in Waco. Services will be Tuesday, March 18th at 1:30 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Lorena Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 17 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. She attended schools in Bruceville-Eddy, TX. She was employed by First National Bank of Waco from March 1946 to July 31, 1990. She was V. P. and Asst. Controller. She was also co-owner of Merle Norman Cosmetics from Sept. 1, 1986 to July l, 1997. Mrs. Hahn was a member of several banking associations, charter member of Huaco Chapter of ABWA, and a member of the Altrusa Club International of Waco since 1968. She served two terms as president as well as chairman of almost all committees. She was also a member of Hamilton House. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodway since 1962. She served on many committees and was an active member of the New Horizon Sunday School Class, and a volunteer in the church office and served on many committees. She is survived by her husband John Smith; one son, Kenneth and his wife, Debra of El Dorado, AR; grandson Michael Hahn and wife Heather of Little Rock, AR; grandson Andrew Hahn of Fayetteville, AR; aunt Beth Wedemeyer of Waco and a host of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ernest E. Hahn, her father J. F. Wedemeyer and her mother Opal Allee Wedemeyer. Pallbearers will be Randy Crawford, David Bullock, Currie Bishop, Earl Patrick, Terry Lynn and Gil Lillard. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Hagan and Sam Simpson. Memorials may be made to the building fund of First Baptist, Woodway or Hamilton House Foundation.
