Honor Marie Horn

Honor Marie Horn, 90, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Baylor, Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center.

Honor was born December 8, 1931, in Dawson, Texas. She graduated Dawson High School and North Texas State University (now the University of North Texas).

Honor taught elementary school in WISD for 30 years, winning numerous awards, including WISD Teacher of the Year in 1988.

She loved to travel and had visited all 50 states, most of them more than once, and several continents and countries around the world.

Honor was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; parents, Ruben and Honor Davis; and two sisters, Margaret Johnson and Martha Jane Davis.

She is survived by her son, Gil Horn, of Woodway; daughter, Janie Wright and husband, David, of Dallas; and grandchildren, Clint Horn, of Seattle, Washington, Collin Horn, of Waco, and Savannah Horn, of Waco.

A private family service will be held.
